Watercolour: The Changing Colours of Autumn

Thursday, October 20 2022 - Thursday, November 3 2022

Cooler crisp days, changing light, golden to mauve! This is such a lovely time of year. The changing colours of autumn will inspire us in this watercolour series guided by artist and illustrator Susan Pearson.

In this three-session series, we will cover essential techniques from beginners to more advanced, with projects and various assignments using graded washes, building light and dark values and introducing surprise colours. Fresh-cut samples from the Garden will be available for inspiration, while you will gain familiarity with the medium.

Please bring your questions, ideas, passion, interests and art supplies!

Winter Watercolour Meetups!

Thursday, November 17 2022 - Thursday, December 1 2022

With a palette of colours seen in nature at this time of year, you will create finely detailed watercolour images with the guidance of artist and illustrator, Susan Pearson, in this three-session program.

Using botanical specimens as a reference (such as fresh cuts of evergreens, red leaves and berries), Susan’s individual and group instructions ensure that each participant can progress at their own pace to develop techniques such as layering of colour, wet into wet, and dry brush. This course is suitable for novices or those seeking a refresher on watercolour techniques.
