In this introduction to wet felting workshop, you will learn how to make a soft sculptural hand-felted succulent. Starting with a 2D flat layout of fibres, wetting it down, agitating it or felting it until it becomes a material, cutting it, fulling it and sculpting it into a 3D succulent.

This presentation will examine the acoustic traditions and culture of Orca, Humpback and Fin Whales along the coast of British Columbia. It will include a discussion on the importance of sound, a quiet ocean for whales, and the different technologies being used to record and better understand the habitat, use, and communication of whales.
